Tables for Interesting Artifacts (TIA) is a limited-edition furniture series designed, developed, and manufactured by EASTON COMBS. Each table functions as both sculptural object and architectural gesture—intended for everyday use as a side table, yet open to broader interpretation as a spatial character. TIA resists singular classification: neither protagonist nor background, neither ornamental nor purely functional, it remains quietly present—an object in-between.
Playful yet restrained, mysterious yet familiar, TIA offers intrigue through form and ambiguity. Its presence is at once subtle and impactful, adaptable to a wide range of interior environments while maintaining a distinct material and formal identity.
Each TIA is constructed from recycled paper-resin board, precision-machined and hand-assembled, then finished with natural tung oil. The design language draws from architectural components reinterpreted across multiple scales, resulting in a vertical composition of interlocking volumes.
No two tables are alike. Each piece is uniquely configured through variations in assembly, expressing difference through subtle shifts in proportion, alignment, and pattern. The series reflects EASTON COMBS’ interest in modular complexity, craft, and material innovation.
