Tables for Interesting Artifacts: TIA is offered as a limited furniture series designed, developed and manufactured by EASTON COMBS. As an object, TIA is both a sculptural element and an exploration of architectural form, meant for simple utility as side table or open for interpretation as a series of spatial characters; neither protagonist nor supernumerary, neither foreground nor background, always silently present and in-between. At once playful and just a bit mysterious, TIA is comfortable in and adds intrigue to multiple aesthetic environments in both its form and utility.

Each TIA is constructed from machined and hand assembled recycled paper and resin board finished with a tung oil. The design process utilizes a common architectural element at multiple scales interconnected to present as a set of stacked elements. No two designs are identical; each piece is hand built with subtle variation in their unique interlocking patterns.
